10 Games That Would Be On A Future PS4 Classic

0

Both the NES and SNES Classics have been a huge success. They brought the good old days back to our living rooms in a neat, hassle-free package. It was a genius idea from Nintendo that Microsoft and Sony will no doubt “borrow” one day.

Yet, today we will be looking what games could potentially be on a PS4 Classic have when (or if) it releases 30 years down the line. Here are 10 games that we think, will absolutely make it on to PS4 Classic.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a great action game which really showcases not only the graphical power of PS4, but also the skill and talent of the good people at Naughty Dog. It is a brilliant game that really proved the power of a PS4 exclusive, and it certainly can’t be missing on the PS4 classic.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn is a game that not everyone likes. I personally cannot stand it, yet it was quite successful and it did what it did right. The reason why this game should be on PS4 Classic is simple, it’s a good PS4 exclusive that stands as proof that linear, narrative-driven games can be fun and engaging.

The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian is a curious beast. It is one of the most anticipated games in history, and it certainly did not live up to the hype, yet it is in fact quite a good game. The reason why it should make it to the PS4 Classic is that on top of being a good PS4 exclusive it’s also something different. It’s a game without much violence, that focuses more on puzzles and atmosphere than on combat, which is quite rare this generation, and what certainly should be remembered 30 years from now.

The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is one of the best games in the history. Period. It’s an amazing western RPG, it has a great combat, story and character, and it looks amazing. It is a game that defined this generation of consoles, and it truly deserved the hype it got. It is not a PS4 exclusive but it is often regarded as one of the best games on the platform, and it should certainly be on PS4 Classic.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

You cannot go more Playstation than Crash. Even though it’s no long an exclusive, it’s place is always at Sony, and PS4 fans certainly love Crash Bandicoot N. Sane TrilogyIt’s a remake, yes, but it’s a great one. It brings three classic games into one, very sleek package and it certainly deserves a spot on the PS4 Classic.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne, the modern day Castlevania. The Souls game that reached perfection. The game that took the awesome mechanics of Dark Souls, sped it up by 40%, added difficulty levels straight from NES, and set it in a Gothic/Victorian setting. What else would one want? It’s an almost perfect game, and it should certainly be remembered. A PS4 Classic without it would feel incomplete.

Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV is not a PS4 exclusive, neither is it a perfect game, yet it’s pretty close. It is a great JRPG, with AAA budget, with a great open world worth exploring, and great characters that you will get attached to. It’s the Final Fantasy game of this generation and it’s worth remembering.

Gran Tourismo Sport

Racing games are not everyone’s thing, they are certainly not mine. Yet, they do deserve a place on the PS4 Classic as they are quite popular. Gran Tourismo Sport is the one that should be on the PS4 Classic. On top of being a PS4 exclusive it’s also quite a finely crafted game. It is a nice display of graphical power for this generation of consoles, which is something future generations need to get a chance to laugh at.

God of War

What can we say about God of War that has not been said before. It is brilliant. It’s the PS4 game of this generation, it is the quantum opus of the PS4 and it needs a place on the PS4 Classic. Some artistic achievements just need to be remembered and God of War is certainly one of them. It combines great combat mechanics with a great story, creating what essentially is one of the best games this generation.

PS4 Classic

Persona 5

Persona 5 is my favorite PS4 game, and it’s also one of the best JRPG’s ever created. It has a great story, characters, and style, as well as that unique Japanese flavor that makes the game truly special. It is also on PS3 but the PS4 version is clearly superior, and since it’s probably going to be another 30 years before we see Persona 6, it would be nice to get it on PS4 classic.

That is all we have today! Are there any games we skipped that you think should be on PS4 Classic? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter and Facebook. Do note that we only included games that are already out. Games such as Death Stranding or Spider man were not considered at all at this point in time.
