An initial trailer has surfaced for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, courtesy of SEGA America. The trailer mentions the updated visuals and performance, utilizing the Canvas Graphics Engine, and thoroughly displays the tactical battle system and varied characters. The cast, characters, story and action all seem to be well and truly intact, right down to the sweeping dramatic score and emotional interactions.
The trailer marks the first official confirmation of a Western release for the title. While we have previously covered Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, it has thus far remained a Japanese exclusive title. It was initially unveiled alongside an upcoming sequel titled Azure Revolution, but no word has been made regarding a Western release for the new title.
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is set to launch exclusively for the PS4 in Spring 2016. Initial runs of the game will be packaged in a limited edition Squad 7 themed armored case. All releases of the game include the full range of DLC from the original title.
