A new Nintendo Direct stream is inbound, this time with a focus on the Pokémon franchise. The stream is set to take place at 7am PT on Friday February 26, with a five minute duration, though the specific subject is matter yet to be revealed. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, and although several smaller announcements have been made this year, there has been no news on the mainline series front for some time.

The previous Pokémon-specific Nintendo Direct was used to reveal the 6th-generation titles, Pokémon X & Y, so a successor could well be in line. The stream will be broadcast live in all regions, hitting the UK at 3pm, Japan at midnight, and Australia at 2am the following morning. Stay tuned to Gamer Professionals for a direct report of the stream.
