Amazon Japan Now Allows for International Console and Video Game Purchases

Well, this is a bit surprising to say the least! Some astute users on NeoGAF have discovered that Amazon’s Japanese division now allows for international shipping on consoles and video games. What this means is that, finally, Western audiences can now try to purchase those limited edition consoles or games that only come out in Japan. Unfortunately, region locking rules may still apply, but the option exists now.

As a side note, the website can be switched over to the English language at any time. An Amazon Japan account is also required, but the purchase can be made by any credit card carrier. A tweet, captured by RPGSite, contains a few more tidbits on the process. The main tweet of interest has been captured below.
