PUBG Developer’s New Game Ascent: Infinite Realm Revealed

The hugely popular PlayerUnknown’s Battleground has been a massive success for the Bluehole team. Now, the company are moving on to their next project titled Ascent: Infinite Realm.

Ascent: Infinite Realm is a open world MMORPG that features both air and ground-based combat. The game fuses elements of both fantasy and cyber-punk to create a very unique looking world. The announcement trailer shows off a lot of the activities and quests you will be partaking in, such as a PvP mode that puts players and their flying vehicles against each other. Bluehole Studio released a statement about the multiplayer mode. “In RvR, factions fight for fame and glory, taking turns to lead offensive and defensive efforts using all kinds of fantastical flying vehicles,” Bluehole said. “Players can also join the fight from the ground with mechs and the use of anti-air artillery to fight airborne threats―or initiate ground based aerial attacks depending on the map and strategy.”

Players will be able to customize their ships, and choose between five different classes. Something equally interesting is the fact that you will also be able to create quests for your ships. The first opportunity you will have to play the game will come with the closed beta which will be arriving sometime in the first half of 2018. When I was a kid, I would play countless hours with my brother and father in games like Madden and NBA 2K. Today, whether it's a huge RPG to be explored or a small indie waiting to tell its own story, I'm ready to pick up the controller and play. For over a decade, I've watched how the videogame landscape has changed and evolved which has me excited for what is to come in the near future.
