New details about Assassin’s Creed Odyssey have emerged right before Ubisoft’s E3 conference.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will allow players to choose a female or male character. Kassandra and Alexios have the same story and both characters are raised as Spartans.
This is the first time Ubisoft has done this with the Assassin’s Creed series. In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the characters would switch between Evie and Jacob. Similarly, we get a few opportunities to play as Aya in Assassin’s Creed Origins.
The upcoming game will also feature dialogue choice options that decide how the story will pan out. This is another new feature for this franchise.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will take place during the Peloponnesian War. The character returns to the island of Kefalonia after 17 years, after a tragedy in their childhood had ripped the family apart. Also, the protagonist is a direct descendant of the First Civilization bloodline. With the lush history of Ancient Greece, we may learn more about the First Civilization through mythology.
The game will take place in Greece and its surrounding islands. The map for this game will be larger than any Assassin’s Creed game.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey comes out on October 5th for PC, PS4, Xbox One.
