Tales of Arise Trailer Showcased at Microsoft E3 2019

The latest iteration of Bandai Namco’s Tales series was officially revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2019 conference – named Tales of Arise. The trailer (shown above, courtesy of MXVideos), is beautiful to say the least, and looks like it was huge leap from the previous Tales games. Let us know your thoughts on the trailer in the comments below.

Microsoft Announce Acquisition of Double Fine Studios at E3 2019

Will Microsoft ever stop vacuuming up game studios in their endless march for total world domination? Well, after the announcement that they’ve acquired Double Fine, the answer – at least for now – is no. Double Fine are the studio behind much loved cult games Psychonaughts and Brütal Legend, and after head of Microsoft Game StudiosContinue reading “Microsoft Announce Acquisition of Double Fine Studios at E3 2019”

Microsoft Reveal “Blair Witch” at E3 2019 – New Horror Game Based on Namesake Movie

Microsoft have announced a new found-footage horror game Blair Witch at their conference at E3 2019. The protagonist, along with his canine companion Bullet, can be seen trekking off into the woods in search of a missing girl, much like in the film with which this title shares a name. Then all sorts of vague, spookyContinue reading “Microsoft Reveal “Blair Witch” at E3 2019 – New Horror Game Based on Namesake Movie”

New Dark Souls Trilogy Collector’s Edition Revealed – Yours for £450/$580

The Dark Souls Trilogy just got a whole lot more ‘Dark Soulsier’. While US Souls fans have been able to grab and play this compendium since last October, their European counterparts still have to wait until May 31st to enjoy three games’ worth of controller-smashing frustration. But now every Dark Souls fan east of the Atlantic Ocean can boast accessContinue reading “New Dark Souls Trilogy Collector’s Edition Revealed – Yours for £450/$580”

Hands on Disco Elysium – An Absolute Mindfunk (preview)

Funnily enough, I find it hard to know where to start when presented with 150 playable games. And as I wandered up and down the isles of the indie section of this year’s EGX showfloor, that’s exactly what happened. Then, a neon glow. A custom-made sign shining lambent green reading “Disco Elysium“. Like mothContinue reading “Hands on Disco Elysium – An Absolute Mindfunk (preview)”

The Surge – The Good, The Bad, and The Augmented DLC Review (PS4)

Hours of exciting playable content … thrilling showdowns with brand new enemies … an interesting story that enriches the narrative of the base game – this latest DLC for The Surge has none of that. And what The Good, The Bad, and The Augmented does offer is pointless, repetitive, and even broken in some places. Essentially, The Good, TheContinue reading “The Surge – The Good, The Bad, and The Augmented DLC Review (PS4)”

Hands on with Metro Exodus – Less Dark, More Larks (Preview)

Metro 2033 has to be one of my favorite games of all time. And one of the most underrated, in my opinion. No other title has quite been able to match the same levels of immersion that Metro provides. The extreme claustrophobia of the subterranean train tunnels, the gruesome beasts twisted by radiation, the almost occultContinue reading “Hands on with Metro Exodus – Less Dark, More Larks (Preview)”

Spider-Man is the Fastest Selling Game of the Year in the UK

It probably comes as no surprise to anyone that Spider-man is selling like hotcakes. The PS4 exclusive title is raking in glowing reviews and the internet is abuzz with praise. Now its success has been confirmed in the UK, by becoming the fastest selling game of the year, trumping God of War by a long way and evenContinue reading “Spider-Man is the Fastest Selling Game of the Year in the UK”

Studio Behind Left 4 Dead Working on New Title in “Globally Known Game Franchise”

When Gabe Newell announced that Valve will start making games again, we couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, he would consider putting a “3” after one of his beloved franchises. Dreams of Portal 3, Half Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 were reignited once more. Now Turtle Rock, co-creators of the original Left 4 Dead (under the nameContinue reading “Studio Behind Left 4 Dead Working on New Title in “Globally Known Game Franchise””

No, Microsoft Did Not ‘Win’ E3 2018 – Their Conference Was a Massive Let Down

And no, I’m not exaggerating. Microsoft have once again let gamers down with their underwhelming press conference at E3 2018. But that didn’t stop Phil Spencer weaving some lexical magic to try and convince us that ZERO new IPs was a good thing. Of course, the cold corpses of long dead Xbox franchises such as HaloContinue reading “No, Microsoft Did Not ‘Win’ E3 2018 – Their Conference Was a Massive Let Down”

Microsoft Announce Gears of War 5 at E3 2018, Coming 2019

In one of the less surprising announcements to come out of E3 2018, Microsoft have just revealed Gears of War 5 at their press conference. It’s a direct continuation of JD and the gang’s story, following on from the events of Gears of War 4. If the short cut scene shown at the conference is anything to go by,Continue reading “Microsoft Announce Gears of War 5 at E3 2018, Coming 2019”
