Welcome to Trailers of the Week. A discussion regarding the latest trailers in gaming, including what we liked and didn’t like about them. This week we’ll be picking out a few trailers which caught our eye, pointing out what we liked (and possibly didn’t like) about them, as well as keeping you up-to-date on what’s new.
During Sony’s Press Conference at Tokyo Game Show 2017, we got to see a fresh new trailer of 3 on 3 fighter Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The gameplay trailer shows off lots more flashy gameplay featuring our beloved RPG heroes, with the latest addition to the roster being featured in the latter half. Noctis, from the most recent entry in Square Enix’s long-running series – Final Fantasy XV.
Releasing in late 2015 in Japanese arcades, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT has finally got a western release date for PlayStation 4. The fighter featuring everyone’s favorite Final Fantasy heroes and villains is set to release on January 30th, 2018.
At the D23 Expo Video Game Showcase we just got some very exciting news about Kingdom Hearts 3 and now we know it will be released in 2018. People were very excited for a new world to be revealed for the highly anticipated third installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, and now it’s here.
At this years D23 Expo Video Game Showcase, we got some new info on Insomniac’s Spider-Man. After the gameplay we got at the end of Sony’s E3 press conference, people are very excited for the web-slinger to make his gaming return.
Since the reveal of Warriors All-Stars, people have been curious about what the game will do differently. It seems that the developers have taken this into account and have got to work implementing new systems within the core gameplay. This along with a new trailer tells us much more about the upcoming title.
Nokia Shiramine and her partners Agumon and Gabumon now lead the Rebellions team, a group of tamers dedicated to protecting Digital monsters from nefarious hackers. A new addition to the story is Chitose Imai, the vice-leader of hacker group Hu Die.
Sony has really been pushing PlayStation VR recently, and its E3 conference is no exception to this. First off, the unique first person shooter, Superhot is coming to PlayStation VR. This game is perfect for VR and will be a nice addition to PlayStations library in general. South Park: The Fractured But Whole just got a new trailer live at Ubisoft’s E3 2017 Conference. The trailer focuses on the plethora of characters from the show and their respective hero identities.
Turn-Based RPG Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic is coming to PS4 on the near date of June 15th. Published by Headup Games and developed by a small indie team named The BitFather, this roguelike relies on random encounters to keep you on your toes.
