Many have speculated what next year’s Battlefield game will be, but according to rumors it may have already been revealed as Battlefield: Bad Company 3.
Though there are only rumors and speculation, the leaked information comes from YouTuber AlmightyDaq, who proved reliable after leaking a ton of authentic information for Battlefield 1 pre-release. A surprising detail revealed is that Battlefield: Bad Company 3 will take place around “mid and post-Vietnam conflict”. The game will not be “historically accurate” and will not have any trace of the Cold War in the campaign. This is a big change from the previous two Bad Company games, which all took place during present day. Hopefully the series won’t lose the charm that the Bad Company crew had in previous installments.
If you were hoping for multiplayer details, then you are in luck. The multiplayer modes rumored to be in the game will be Conquest, Rush, Operations, Domination and Team Deathmatch. In addition, there will be a 5v5 multiplayer mode that is similar to Battlefield 4‘s Squad Obliteration. The maps in multiplayer will be ditching the “all-out warfare” feel, focusing on tight gameplay. The customization options are said to have been improved as well, sharing similarities with Battlefield 4. It sounds like there are plenty of customizable options to choose from for guns and vehicles from the Vietnam and Cold War eras.
The vehicle selection in the game include Modern tanks, Light Armored Vehicles (LAVs) and helicopters. Kits, or classes, will be making a return with four to choose from: Assault, Engineer, Recon and Support. When compared to Battlefield 1, the game will have a “faster tempo” and a higher skill gap. Microtransactions are allegedly not in the game, which may be a surprise to many after the Star Wars: Battlefront II debacle. Maybe EA is learning from their mistakes. No release date was officially given but AlmightyDaq tells us to expect a reveal at E3 2018.
We do want to again stress that while the details may seem authentic, the information has not been confirmed and could possibly be proven to be false in the future. Hopefully that is not the case, but time will tell. In the meantime, what do you think about the rumors?
