If you’ve got a European 3DS and liked Bravely Default, I have good news for you. A 10-hour demo called Bravely Second: End Layer – The Ballad of the Three Cavaliers is now available on the Nintendo eShop. Thankfully if you’re worried about spoilers or having to restart the game after playing the demo, the demo is not only reported to have its own story serving as a prelude to the main game, but you can transfer various bonuses to the full game, akin to the demo that came out with Bravely Default.

That’s not all, however — downloading the demo also nets European players 10% off the game if they download it digitally. This promotion runs from launch on February 26 to March 10, though we don’t know if there will be a similar promotion from Nintendo of America (Ask Reggie).

While North America isn’t getting the game for a while yet — perhaps as a trade-off for getting Fire Emblem Fates first — Europe is gearing up to go, with the latest trailer introducing a familiar character for those who played Bravely Default, Edea Lee.

As much as I’d like to tell myself a North American release date of April 15 is long enough for me to finally beat Bravely Default, I know that’s very unlikely, so I’ll probably have to hold off on this game for a while yet. Backlogs, people. They’re brutal things.
