Call of Duty: WWII Remains No.1 in UK Charts for 9th Consecutive Week, Matches Modern Warfare II

Call of Duty: WWII has gone down a storm, no question. After very strong initial sales figures, (up by 57% on Infinite Warfare) things were looking more that rosy for the latest COD game. But is there no end to its success? Today, we’ve learned that the latest Call of Duty game has managed to hold its position at the top of the UK charts for a 9th consecutive week. As a point of comparison, 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 also managed 9 weeks in the top spot. Call of Duty: WWII is now just 2 weeks from achieving the most ‘Number Ones’ of any title in the franchise. Despite your feelings towards Call of Duty, you have to give it to them; there has certainly been a renewed level of interest around the series.

It looks like going back to their roots and setting this game during World War 2 has paid off, but what do you think of this news? Are your surprised at this level of success? Or are you happy that what many consider the king of shooters is starting to regain its crown? Let us know in the comments section below.
