After much speculation, it was confirmed yesterday by Hideo Kojima via twitter that Death Stranding will not appear at E3.

Death Stranding

He apologized for the game’s absence at E3 this year but did note that he will be attending Geoff Keighley’s E3 Coliseum show. Whether Kojima will be interviewed or participate during Mr. Keighley’s event has yet to be revealed. This show does look to have a interview with director Jordan Vogt-Richards. Jordan Vogt-Richards directed Kong: Skull Island and is the director for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie.

While Hideo Kojima went to twitter to announce Death Stranding‘s absence at E3, he did tweet a new teaser image for the game. The image is a star-shaped spiderweb with the word “Bridges” underneath it. While the absence of Death Stranding at E3 is very disappointing news to hear, the cryptic message that Kojima tweeted out is bound to have the internet theorizing as we wait for the next piece of information for the game.
