Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo For 3DS Revealed

After several years without much news regarding Detective Pikachu, it has finally surfaced in time for Pokemon’s 20th anniversary. The title, named Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Duo, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS.

The title is listed as a cinematic puzzle game. It will be 800 MB in size, which amounts to approximately 6400 blocks, according to the announcement posted on Serebii. The title takes place in Rhyme City, where you will play as Tim Goodman, a young man who has arrived in the city for reasons unknown. The Pikachu in question is supposed to be a spunky one, with a bit of smugness. The title is entirely a single-player game and will have no online communications.

Detective Pikachu will launch on February 3, 2016 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, for a price of 1,500 yen. A discount will be available for a short time, allowing players to purchase the title at 1,200 yen.
