Digimon fans rejoice, as Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Vita/PS4 title Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is set for a Western release early next year. The game was released in Japan back in March this year to positive reception. It casts the player as a “Cyber Sleuth,” tasked with the investigation of a range of mysteries in the digital world alongside a range of human and Digimon companions.
The PS4 version of Cyber Sleuth will be receiving some exclusive pre-order bonus content. Included in the package are download codes for colour variants of Agumon and Gabumon, as well as three costumes and an item set to get you started. Further, two Digimon exclusive to the Western release will be available for download in Beelzebumon Blast Mode and Cherubimon. The Vita release is currently listed as digital exclusive, while the PS4 version will receive a physical release.
The Digimon franchise has been rather dormant in the West for quite some time, so signs of life like this are quite encouraging for the community. The release date for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is currently slated as February 2 next year.
