Drew Karpyshyn Returns To Bioware For Star Wars: The Old Republic

A bit of a different type of news story going on today, for a game that I used to follow. In the news today, well-known Star Wars author Drew Karpyshyn, writer of Star Wars and other fantasy/gaming novels, announced that he will be returning to Bioware to work on Star Wars: The Old Republic. The popular MMO, focused on delivering a story-driven narrative combined with exciting gameplay, has floundered recently in their story telling, and hopefully with the reintroduction of Karpyshyn to the team, the game goes in a better direction.

Karpyshyn has been known to have input on games such as the critically acclaimed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II, and as the lead writer on the Mass Effect Trilogy. Fans are eagerly hoping that Karpyshyn provides input for Mass Effect: Andromeda, announced this year at E3 2015. I personally hope to see a better narrative for The Old Republic, having been an avid player of the game. It can only go up from here.
