E3 has always been a slightly “exclusive” venue for people of the industry. For the press and gaming industry elite, fans have always clamored to attend the event. This year, at E3 2016, that plan will change somewhat. The show will be opened to the public, as a side show concurrent to the events of E3. The new side show, dubbed E3 Live, will take place minutes away at the LA Live across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The event will feature exhibits from the following companies:

  • Alienware
  • Facebook/Oculus
  • Frito-Lay
  • HTC Vive
  • Loot Crate
  • Monster
  • Twitch
  • Ubisoft
  • Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment

The main show’s presence has receded somewhat, with publishers like EA choosing their own private venues in favor of a live appearance on the floor. Even Nintendo’s booth will have only one title available to play. Could this be the start of something bigger?

Fans can register here, and will receive tickets for Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions. No cost to attend, but limited to first come, first serve.
