It looks like Electronic Arts has decided to change up their game plan for E3 2016. This change is quite significant, too, as the company has announced earlier today that they have released their holding on an E3 booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in favor of an event taking place at Nokia Live from June 12-14th, called EA Play.

EA is describing this as an event, spanning Los Angeles and London, that gives players the chance to interact together both on the show room floor and online. Demos, online play, and competitions are scheduled to make an appearance. While a press conference, as per E3 tradition, is still in the books, the lack of an actual booth on the show floor will be quite noticeable, since it’s one of the first things players will run into. The press conference takes place on Sunday, instead of Monday, at the EA Play event.
