Back in 2015, the world was saw a new installment in the popular Fallout series with Fallout 4. Two years later and we can now strap on our Pip-Boy once more as Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will be coming out next month.
Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will come out on September 26th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but does not have an official price yet. It will come with all 6 pieces of downloadable content for Fallout 4, including the expansions Far Harbor and Nuke-World. All the latest updates to Fallout 4, such as mod support, Survival mode, and a few graphical enhancements, will be included. Bethesda also announced they would be releasing a Fallout 4 Game of the Year Pip-Boy Edition exclusively to North America. The limited edition bundle includes everything previously mentioned plus a Pip-Boy.
Fallout 4 originally released back in November 10, 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Within the first 24 hours of launch, it had generated 750 million US dollars. Since launch, Fallout 4 has become the most profitable game in Bethesda history. Fallout 4 also received pretty positive reviews as well when it first launched. The game was also praised for world depth, freedom and the overall amount of content. However, the game was also criticized for the amount of technical issues and overall quality of the game’s visuals.
Our very own Sebastian Fisher reviewed the game back when it first launched and enjoyed it. While I did enjoy Fallout 4 when it first came out, the issues were hard to ignore after a while. It will be interesting to see how well both critics and general public react to this edition when it releases.
