Insomniac Games has released Update 1.14 for Marvel’s Spider-Man today, which adds two new suits to the game and fixes a couple things. Players can now swing through the city and fight crime with even more variety. Update 1.14 is 151.9 MB in size, and contains both the Bombastic Bag-Man suit, and the Future Foundation suit. In the past, Bryan Intihar (Creative Director for Marvel’s Spider-Man) had hinted that the Bombastic Bag-Man suit might be added into the game in the future and today it has officially arrived.
Update 1.14’s Patch Notes state that Insomniac Games has fixed a few minor bugs still present in the game. Insomniac has fixed an issue where players could not Fast Travel using the subway entrances, as well as an issue where the Aaaron Aikman Armor added in the Silver Lining DLC would not unlock if the player had leveled up just before unlocking the suit.
The Bombastic Bag-Man:
The Bombastic Bag-Man Suit is a thrown-together costume comprised of an extra Fantastic Four outfit and a paper bag with eye holes cut out for the mask. This costume first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #258 (November, 1984) when Spider-Man was without a costume. The Human Torch gave Spidey the extra Fantastic Four outfit; add in a paper bag to conceal Peter’s identity, and the rest was history.
The Future Foundation Suit is a sleek white and black suit. This costume first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #658 (April, 2011) when Spider-Man first officially became a member of The Future Foundation, which was formed by Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) to solve global problems and plan a better future for humanity.
