Mods haven’t been exclusive for PC for quite some time. The newest title in the list of games that support mods on consoles is the upcoming Farming Simulator 17.

Earlier this week the developer GIANT Software confirmed that the newest entry to the Farming Simulator franchise will have console mod support. This is not a surprising action since Farming Simulator mods have been very popular among PC gamers. Also to ensure the compatibility and gaming experience, the company will check every mod before release.

“These mods will be checked internally before being released in order to meet all of the necessary Console requirements. If PC players benefit from a larger quantity of mods, Console players will be able to continuously enjoy new mods released regularly for free. These mods will guarantee an optimal and renewed gaming experience for all Farming Simulator 17 players” says Thomas Frey of GIANTS Software.”

GIANTS Software is also preparing free mods to be available at launch for both PC and the consoles. They will be available for download along with the game on October 25th.
