Friday the 13th: The Game has Made a Claim on $800,000

Recently, the game companies Gun Media and Illfonic have been developing a game based on the famous horror movie, Friday the 13th. The companies started a fundraiser on the Kickstarter website asking for $700,000 to make the game. The campaign closed November 13, 2015 (Friday the 13th) with $823,704 and had 12,218 contributors. The game will be in the third person and allows one player to get behind the mask of the crazed madman, Jason Voorhees, while seven other players run in fear as camp counselors. It will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in October 2016.

There were various other stretch goals for the fundraiser after they earned enough money. First, for $725,000 there would be a new Mirror Kill. Second, for $750,000 there would be a 3D Head Crush Kill with eyes that pop out. Third, for $775,000 there would be a Rip Your Heart Out Kill. Last but not least, for $1.625 million there would be a single-player campaign. Only the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bonuses were earned. It is yet to be seen if the developers will accept further cash for the single-player campaign and other goodies in-game.
