Episode 16 of our gaming podcast, The Gamer Professionals Show (GPS), is now live! It’s part two of our E3 press conference coverage where we cover Ubisoft, Sony, and Nintendo. As we go through the announcements, we talk about what worked and what didn’t work, as well as our favorites from the show. Additionally, check out our E3 predictions episode to see how wrong we were.
Just like in part one of our E3 coverage, we found it a bit difficult not to stop and go on and on about our favorite announcements. We delve deep into Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Skull and Bones, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Destiny 2, Call of Duty WWII, Spider-Man, The Inpatient, Pokemon, Super Mario Odyssey, Metroid Prime 4, Metroid: Samus Returns, and so much more!
Ubisoft had a solid conference overall, a solid showing of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, an official release date and extremely foul trailer for South Park: The Fractured, But Whole, and the very exciting trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Sony had a lot of expectation surrounding their press conference, considering that they really blew it out of the water last year. While we didn’t get many new announcements, a few games finally got release dates/windows and we got a further look into their upcoming games.
Nintendo had a very solid conference this year, with a closer look at Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the announcement of Rocket League coming to Switch, and the double whammy of Metroid games – incredible! A new mainline Pokemon game was also announced exclusively for the Switch, which is a great surprise after the disappointment of the recent livestream.
