Episode 50 of our gaming podcast, The Gamer Pros Show (GPS), is now live! This week we are talking about all the big releases coming in March and April, which are both looking to be stacked!
In the news, we were surprised to hear that both Turok games are getting a remastered release on Xbox One. We don’t have the fondest memories of these games, mainly because of the framerate and controls, but it could be worth revisiting.
We’ve been following and covering all controversies related to loot boxes for a while, but the first step has been taken to actually policing it. The ESRB has stated that, going forward, all boxed games that feature microtransactions will have a warning label posted. As in-game purchases continue to evolve, so hopefully will the ESRB’s regulation of them. This week we discuss how a warning label can bring awareness to the issue.
This month’s PS Plus games are so great that we decided to highlight them in the episode! Both Bloodborne and Ratchet & Clank are being offered this month, so we take a bit of time to discuss our experiences with them and why we think they’re awesome.
Since 2018 has had a fairly slow start in terms of game releases, we wanted to highlight some of the big releases coming out for March and April. It’s a wonderful time to pick the controller back up after a couple quiet months. With games like Sea of Thieves, A Way Out, Far Cry 5, and God of War, it’s going to be busy for us here at the site. Not to mention, Nintendo Labo comes out also!
We’ve also spent some time with the DLC expansion for The Escapists 2, which was a ton of fun. We also checked out Assassin’s Creed: Origins‘ new Discovery Tour, the educational interactive experience built right into the game. It seems very promising and a fun way to learn a little bit more about Egypt’s history.
At the very end of the show, we spend just a bit more time talking about Florence, which we discussed in great detail last week.
We hope you enjoy the show. Thanks for listening!
