Episode 62 of our gaming podcast, The Gamer Pros Show (GPS), is now live! This week, we are discussing State of Decay 2 and Detroit: Become Human in great detail.

In the news, Bethesda has been teasing a new Fallout game, which we now know to be the online survival spin-off called Fallout 76. The new update for No Man’s Sky, called NEXT, is launching on July 24th alongside the Xbox One version. This update will see the game’s multiplayer potential much more realized, with an emphasis on survival, building, racing, and simply spending time with friends in the massive galaxy. We discuss the potential for this game and if this is the right direction for it to go in.

Playstation CEO John Kodera has announced that the PS4 is entering the final phase of its lifecycle. The ‘remaining’ three years will be heavily focused on exclusives as well as online services. He also stated that the next console (PS5, most likely), will be further expanding the online interface and subscription-based content.

The newest Sea of Thieves update is live, offering players a new story line based around the newest character, ‘Merry’ Merrick. This is the first of three planned expansions, granting players more activities to do in the great world of Sea of Thieves. We’ll be discussing this next week on GPS.

EA have revealed the details for Battlefield V, which is going back to World War II. It will follow the same “vignette” formula that we saw in Battlefield 1, which is a great choice. The lead character is a female infantry soldier, who sees some serious action in the two minute trailer that EA released.

Jordan has spent some time this week with State of Decay 2, and gives his thoughts about the game. This game is available through an Xbox Game Pass subscription, so take advantage of that if you are curious about the game.

In our final segment this week, we’re talking about Detroit: Become Human, which both of us have completed. Although our feelings are mixed on the game from a critical standpoint, we both really enjoyed our time with it. Perhaps its biggest flaw is that not all of its branching paths tell great stories. The characters are each great, though it is up to the player to decide their fate.

We hope you enjoy the show. Thanks for listening!
