Episode 66 of our gaming podcast, The Gamer Pros Show (GPS), is now live! We welcome editor-in-chief Brandon Bui to talk all about his impressions of the E3 show floor and the games he got a chance to play.

Brandon actually got to attend Sony’s now-infamous press conference in person, so we get to hear some of his thoughts on that. With Microsoft staging their booth at the Microsoft Theater across the street, we learn about how that impacted the show and if the floor felt emptier than previous years.

In the news, Microsoft and Nintendo have started a new social media ad campaign, where they are showcasing their willingness to work together on cross-play. A series of fun-filled tweets demonstrate their excitement to build together in Minecraft and hopefully more games in the future.

I’ve spent the better part of the week playing Hollow Knight, which was announced on Switch during the Nintendo press conference. This has to be one of the best Metroidvania games, modern or otherwise, that I’ve ever played. It certainly isn’t easy and is at times very difficult, but the sense of reward and achievement is phenomenal.

Brandon spent time with some great games at this year’s E3. This was his fourth time attending the event, which is always a lot of fun and a ton of work. We learn all about his impressions playing games including Kingdom Hearts III, Metro Exodus, Dragon Quest XI, Pokemon, Starlink, Overcooked 2, Hitman 2and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

We hope you enjoy the show. Thanks for listening!
