Hideo Kojima will be Inducted into Hall of Fame at DICE 2016

Hideo Kojima, longtime creator of the Metal Gear franchise, will be inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ Hall of Fame.  The award will be presented by his friend and film director Guillermo Del Toro during the 19th D.I.C.E. Awards ceremony.  Since 1996, the D.I.C.E. Awards have recognized developers and games that contribute to the advancement of the entertainment software industry.  Kojima, one of the most respected developers in the game industry, is certainly deserving of this award.

2015 was quite an eventful year for Kojima.  After publicly parting ways with longtime employer and Metal Gear publisher Konami, he announced a new partnership with Sony for an exclusive new project.

The D.I.C.E. Awards will take place at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas on February 16th – 18th 2016.
