The new episodic HITMAN series by Io Interactive and Square Enix has announced the release date for the next episode as well as a release for a physical disc edition. At first, the series received some flak for releasing Assassination missions in a episodic manner. However, after the first episode was released, the anticipation and excitement to see the next location kept the audience thirsty for more.

HITMAN
Colorado, USA

Since the game’s release, Agent 47 has been to Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, and Bangkok. Episode 5 is set to take place in Colorado and is to be released on September 27th. The first four episodes of season one were riddled with different strategies and assassination techniques and episode five is sure to only add the the fun. A major advantage to an episodic series revolves around the replayability of each mission. Every mission has a plethora of different paths for Agent 47 to take to take out the target. Being able to replay each mission multiple times allows for the player to plot out each attempt and make use of every different option available. Season 1 is set to conclude with a mission set in Japan, which is set to release later in 2016. According to a tweet by the official HITMAN twitter account, Io hopes to create at least 2 more seasons after the conclusion of season 1.

Along with the announcement of the next episode, Io has also announced the release date of a physical disc version of the complete first season. HITMAN: The Complete First Season is HITMANset to be released January 31st of 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The disc set will include side missions: Escalation Contracts, Challenges, Opportunities. It will also include all community created contracts and Elusive targets that take place after January 31st. On top of all the, the disc will have bonus DLC including 3 extra missions, the official soundtrack, a ‘making of HITMAN‘ documentary, and the Requiem Blood Money DLC pack. PS4 users will also receive an extra set of 6 missions.

Future episodes of HITMAN are sure to include more fun and exciting assassination missions. With the release of Episode 5 at the end of this month, players will be occupied for hours on end with all the choices and challenges that await them.
