Horizon: Zero Dawn’s DLC Coming in November

Previously announced at this year’s E3 expo, The Frozen Wilds expansion for the wildly successful Sony exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn has been given a release date. Players eager to see the next chapter in Aloy’s story can download and play The Frozen Wilds as soon as November 7th. As an added bonus, “there’s an exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn avatar available for those of you who pre-order the expansion from the PlayStation Store.”

“Back in June, we announced an expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn called The Frozen Wilds. Set in icy territories to the north, this new chapter of Aloy’s journey adds a new area to explore, new mysteries to uncover and new, highly lethal machines to take on.” –Jeroen Roding, community manager for Guerrilla Games

For many gamers, Horizon: Zero Dawn is a strong contender for the best game of the year. The game received overwhelmingly positive reviews, averaging 9 out of 10 from most sites. Gamer Professionals awarded it a 9.4 out of 10 saying “…you’ll quickly begin to realize that Horizon Zero Dawn is not just a video game. It’s an experience.”  The game has currently sold over 3.17 million units, which is very impressive being a game released exclusivity on the PlayStation 4. If The Frozen Wilds brings the same quality of narrative and gameplay as the original game, it’s likely to be picked up by fans as quickly as the game itself.
