Bryan Pardilla, the Associate producer from SIEA, has announced that the extremely popular Jak and Daxter series will be completely re-mastered and will soon become available on the PlayStation 4. The company is expected to release Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2, Jak 3, and Jak X: Combat Racing with 1080p graphics and trophy support.

The re-mastered games will be available via digital download from the PS Store some time later this year, with no exact price announced. The original series debuted in 2001 for the PlayStation 2. It followed the adventures of Jak and his partner Daxter though a dangerous world to decipher the precursor mystery. Now just over 15 years later the two continue their adventures on a new platform with a new generation of gamers.
