Fans of Kirby will be excited to hear a gameplay video for the upcoming game has been released by CoroCoro, the popular Japanese gaming publication. Although the 13-minute video is in Japanese, it showcases the new mechanics of the game. It starts off with the traditional platform-focused gameplay of Kirby. All of the classic moves are at your disposal, including Kirby’s signature jumping and copy abilities. The first segment of the video is dedicated to covering the established franchise mechanics, while the second portion covers new features.

The second level starts with the standard layer switching and copying abilities. The big draw this time around is the robot armor, which is attained after defeating a mini boss. While in the suit, you retain Kirby’s copy ability while also gaining the power to destroy or alter parts of the levels. The video showcases six of the 10 abilities you can get with the robot suit, including the flamethrower, laser, bomb and sword mode, among others.

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, Kirby has to defend Dreamland against robotic invaders. The title was revealed during a recent Nintendo Direct stream. It will be available in Japan next month, and in America on June 10th.
