Capcom Unity announced today that Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release in August on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. There have been no announcements for Nintendo 3DS or Switch. The collection will include Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, and Mega Man 9/10 and is priced at $19.99. It also features an “extra armor” half damage setting, checkpoint save states, and options to remix stages and challenges. These extra features make the difficult games a bit easier for modern players.

This is a direct follow-up to the original Mega Man Legacy Collection, which first released on the 3DS and featured the first six games in the monumental series. Capcom also released The Disney Afternoon Collection earlier this year, which highlights more of their NES platformers. There’s a lot of reason to be excited for Capcom collections, which allow players to revisit these influential games on modern consoles. It is a shame that this collection is not releasing on Switch, since these games would be perfect for gaming on the go.
