Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Standalone Release Announced

It’s time to get all ghillied up again as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has been given a standalone release for next Tuesday.

Activision announced the news today that the award winning Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be out again on June 27 for the PlayStation 4 with the Xbox One and PC versions to come out in the near future. The game can also be purchased both physically and digitally. With the game comes the engaging single player campaign as well as the original 16 multiplayer maps. However, the Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not be bundled. The pack included Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse maps.

When the game releases next Tuesday, it will be launching with a “Days of Summer” Multiplayer Event. This event will run for five weeks in which there will be double XP, a new summer-themed map, new playlists to try out, new gear to acquire, and much more. Activision teases that we will learn more following the game’s release. Modern Warfare Remastered will be available for $39.99 on June 27 for the PlayStation 4.

For over a decade, I've watched how the videogame landscape has changed and evolved which has me excited for what is to come in the near future.
