New MSI GT72S Laptop Utilizes Enhanced Eye-Tracking Capabilities

MSI GT72S Tobii with eye-tracking

Complete information for MSI’s next flagship laptop, the GT72S G Tobii, has been released. In addition to the impressive specifications, the laptop comes with Tobii’s eye-tracking sensor technology. There are additional sensors which track your eye movement, and translate that movement into commands for compatible apps and games. Three near-IR illuminators are situated below the laptop’s 17.3inch, 1080p display, allowing the eye-tracking system to work under any lighting conditions and any room type.

Tobii Technology has been developing eye-tracking technology for years, and already have a number of eye-tracking peripherals. There are currently over 2 dozen game titles compatible with the Tobii system, where the tracking system lets you either control the camera or focus the in-game camera just by looking. This can help create a more immersive experience by allowing a more organic approach to camera control. This eye-tracking software is not only limited to games, with password input and other Windows PC utility usages also available.

Excluding the eye-tracking technology, this is a flagship laptop. It contains a 2.7GHz Intel Core i7 k processor with 32GB DDR4 ram and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M graphics card to give you high performance and beautiful graphics. The system is available for order now, with the price point set at US$2,600.
