Earlier today Bandai Namco unveiled some information about the upcoming installment in the Digimon Story series of games. First off, we found out that some familiar faces will be returning to this sequel, further cementing its connection to the previous Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. Nokia Shiramine and her partners Agumon and Gabumon now lead the Rebellions team, a group of tamers dedicated to protecting Digital monsters from nefarious hackers. A new addition to the story is Chitose Imai, the vice-leader of hacker group Hu Die.
We also got some information about something known as Territory Battle Quest, where hackers can expand their territory and place their emblem. We’re still not exactly sure what this is yet, however, it seems like it could be alluding to some form of online mode where players battle for control of a dungeon.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is set to release in early 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. For more news about the game stick around here on Gamer Professionals.
