The PC version of No Man’s Sky has been delayed until August 12th. This is three days later than the original release date of August 9th. The release date for Playstation 4 remains unchanged, which is still August 9th.
Sean Murray, the creator of No Man’s Sky, tweeted about the delay, saying
“I really want to clarify our PC release date. It’s something we’re working extremely hard on. PC NMS release will now be global and will be August 12 worldwide. It’s so important we get it right and make the best version we can”.
This isn’t the first launch issue the game has had. Several people have already posted gameplay of it by buying copies ahead of the intended release date.
In addition, the game servers are being completely reset upon release, so anyone playing an early copy will have their progress wiped.
No Man’s Sky will release on August 9th for PS4 in North America, August 10th for PS4 in Europe, and August 12th for PC worldwide.
