No Mass Effect Remastered Says EA Executive Peter Moore

Not long ago the fans of Mass Effect were given a statement, hinting that the remastered version of Mass Effect is not totally out of the question. This statement was made by non other than the Executive Vice President of Electronic Arts Patrick Söderlund, who gave an interview to Game Informer.

According to Game Informer, Söderlund said that he couldn’t “announce anything today”, but also added “but you can expect us most likely to follow our fellow partners in Activision and other companies that have done [remasters of popular titles] successfully”.

This statement was later followed by a comment by the Chief Competition Officer Peter Moore. “Can we make an easy buck on remastering Mass Effect? Yes. Have a thousand people asked me that? Yes, they have,” he said in IGN Unfiltered.  “We just feel like we want to go forward. There’s a little thing called Mass Effect: Andromeda that we’re totally focused on at BioWare and it’s gonna be magnificent.”

This comment was along the lines of the previous comment against remastering, which Moore made almost a year ago. You can watch Moore’s interview on IGN’s YouTube channel.
