With big name companies like PlayStation and Activision being absent from the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year, all eyes are on Microsoft and Nintendo to deliver great presentations. Xbox head, Phil Spencer, is aware of the pressure on his company’s shoulders and took to Twitter to promise fans one of the biggest and most exciting E3 years in history.
In a tweet posted on May 30th, Phil Spencer promised, “14 Xbox Game Studios games” to be shown in this years Xbox E3 briefing. In the supposed two hour show, along with these 14 exclusives, Microsoft will likely show off several multi-platform games, and may even debut its next-gen console, Project Scarlett.
While the Xbox One does have several multi-platform games releasing this year, there are currently no confirmed exclusives. Hopefully, some of these projects are ready to release later this year, and Microsoft can get people excited for the next generation. The Xbox One has had a troubled life and has struggled to keep up with Sony and Nintendo.
Xbox’s E3 briefing will air on Sunday, June 9th at 1 p.m. PST / 4 p.m. EST. You can watch the show on Xbox’s Twitch or YouTube channel as well as on Mixer.
