Limbo and Inside Developer Playdead Tease their New Project

The developers Playdead have been very successful with indie hits such as Limbo and Inside, and it seems the sky is the limit for this talented team. Now it seems they may be teasing their next project.

At this year’s Game Developer’s Conference (GDC), Playdead was handing out postcards asking other developers to join their team to work on their new project. The team also tweeted out earlier this month a piece of concept art with an invitation to anyone who is “creative, passionate, or looking for a challenge” to visit their GDC Booth. This is not the first time we have had a small glimpse at the developer’s next project. Back in January 2017, they tweeted out another tweet that reveals the first glimpse of their mysterious project. The tweet also states that Arnt Jensen, Playdead founder, and his team are working on their next adventure. There is no other information out at this time about the game.

As previous stated, Playdead’s previous two games have been very successful. Limbo released in 2010 and Inside released in 2016. Both have been greeted with critical and financial success. Limbo currently stands with a 90 metacritic score while Inside has a 93 metacritic score. There is no information on a release date or anything else about the game, but we may learn more at E3 2018. When I was a kid, I would play countless hours with my brother and father in games like Madden and NBA 2K. Today, whether it's a huge RPG to be explored or a small indie waiting to tell its own story, I'm ready to pick up the controller and play. For over a decade, I've watched how the videogame landscape has changed and evolved which has me excited for what is to come in the near future.
