Playstation Experience 2015 Keynote Coverage


Sony is out in full force today for Playstation Experience 2015, taking place in San Francisco, CA. Their keynote, beginning at 10:00 AM PST, will host the latest releases for the Playstation 4 and PS Vita, and it will all be covered below. Keep refreshing the page for more information as it airs.

  • The conference has officially started streaming!
  • A video plays going back to reminisce about how the video industry has changed – from arcade playing to full-blown graphical masterpieces.
  • Nathan Drake trailer airing.
  • Shawn Layden taking the stage now. It’s an honor for him to be a part of Sony to deliver great experiences for everyone. And lots of game announcements to come today.
  • Starting out big, with the Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer rehash from E3 this year.
  • Another trailer has gone live, and shows more cinematics. Gameplay airing as well – and it looks fantastic. Trailer from Eurogamer.

  • Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase taking the stage now. The PC re-release of Final Fantasy VII is available today, but no more information regarding the remake.
  • Shelby Cox coming up next. She’s pretty feisty. Playstation launch records breaking everywhere, and announcing that a DLC map pack, Awakening, for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will be available in Early 2016.
    • Call of Duty World League – Playstation will be the presenting partner. eSports league trailer airs. Best teams in the world will qualify for the title of best team, and will have a $3 million dollar prize pool.
  • Star Wars Battlefront discussion next. Play the Battle of Jakku map at PSX!
  • Battleborn’s CEO Randy Pitchford taking the stage. Open beta for Battleborn coming in 2016 – play the open beta and you will get access to an additional character free, after it launches. Total of 26 heroes.
  • The 16th hero, Toby, is announced. Big guy in a mech suit – getting some fun laughter here. Gameplay for Toby plays. Coming May 3rd, 2016.
  • Street Fighter V trailer airing. New contender F.A.N.G airing, a long-sleeves fighter. Remember, Street Fighter V coming February 2016.
  • Yoshinori Ono takes the stage. F.A.N.G is the final launch character. The identity of six new fighters post launch will be Alex, Guile, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri, and Urien.
  • Finally – the grand finale of the Capcom Cup will be played out on the same PSX stage, 10 AM tomorrow, December 6th.
  • Gio Corsi, after shooing Ono off the stage, reveals a PS4/PC exclusive, Dead Star.
    • Adult Swim Games announcing a new game. For 2016, they’re releasing Death’s Gambit, a Castlevania-esque title. Following up Ray’s The Dead, Duck Game, Rain World, and Small Radios Big Television. Double Find also brings out Headlander, six games from Adult Swim in 2016.
  • Day of the Tentacled Remastered trailer airing, coming March 2016.
  • Psychonauts 2 will be going to the virtual reality plane.
  • Trailer for Invisible Ink going out, followed by Don’t Starve Together. Coming to PS4 2016.
  • Zodiac Orcanon Odyssey – coming 2016.
  • Hitman Go coming to PS4 and Vita.
  • Brawlhalla coming to PS4 and playable at PSX.
  • Yakuza 5 trailer airs.
  • The Last Blade 2 coming to PS4 and Vita.
  • The King of Fighters XIV from SNK Playmore coming 2016. 50 fighters available.
  • Ni-oh – from Tecmo Koei games and Team Ninja. Looks like Onimusha and Ninja Gaiden meet.
  • Bit.Trip and Bastion material coming out.
  • Brutal gameplay trailer going out.
  • A baseball game – The Show ’16 trailer unveiled.
  • Guns Up! – build a custom base, enhance troops, and take on players around the world. Free to play on Playstation via PSN starting today.
  • Fat Princess Adventures available today through PSN today.
  • Ratchet and Clank being announced by Ted Price. It will remind people why they fell in love with the franchise. Coming Spring 2016.
  • Dr. Richard Marks out on stage, and talking about VR. Tech demo going on (not impressed with it).
  • Rez VR announced, full 1080p, 60 FPS.
  • Adam Boyes and Asad Qizilbash enter the stage.
  • More VR – Eagle Flight from Ubisoft.
  • From Santa Monica Studio – Modern Zombie coming 2016. Also, Job Simulator VR. Golem announced as well. 100 Foot Robot Golf trailer announced.
  • Ace Combat 7 unveiled.
  • Destiny The Taken king new event coming – racing event starting December 8th. For three weeks, take part in Sparrow Racing. Free for anyone who owns The Taken King.
  • From the makers of Torchlight – Hob coming to PS4, playable at PSX.
  • Worldwide premier from Level 5 – Ni No Kuni II Revenant Kingdom announced.
  • Epic Games taking the stage now. Announcing Paragon, a new MOBA. Early access coming Spring 2016, Open beta Summer 2016.
