In a not so shocking announcement, Rockstar have told us via a tweet and a post on their website that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed until Spring 2018. It was originally pegged for a Fall 2017 release last October, but at least now Rockstar will have plenty of time to polish all those polygons and deliver an experience that takes the world by storm like Grand Theft Auto 5 did. On their website, they apologize for the delay, and offer up some tasty new screenshots for us to enjoy (which you can check out for yourself at the bottom), as well as promising some more details on the game in the coming Summer.

Did you see this news coming? Do you think that considering this is Rockstar’s first title built from the ground up on the new generation of consoles they deserve to be given a little extra time to make everything perfect? Or are you mad at them for dashing your hopes for Red Dead Redemption 2 coming out this year? Let us know in the comments below.
