The rumor mill has been kicked into overdrive after the release date for Red Dead Redemption 2, the much anticipated sequel to Rockstars’ open-world western franchise, was apparently released on Amazon’s Mexico website. While the regular Amazon page has scheduled the release more generally to the Spring of 2018, the Mexican page is more specific with a July 12th release.

With Rockstar usually announcing their games’ release dates around January, it is likely we will see a confirmed release date within the next few weeks. However, with most of their games being released between April and May, a July 12th release for Red Dead Redemption 2 would be slightly behind schedule which could call its legitimacy into doubt.

Bad news for PC fans though, as this rumor does little to promote the idea of a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port, and with Rockstar yet to make any kind of announcement on Steam, they may have to wait a little longer.

  1. Here we go again. Another supposed “release date” leak. I don’t know why, but every retailer under the sun seems to be in the know with regard to this game’s release. The simple fact is that nobody but Rockstar knows when this game will release. And I’m starting to think they’re not even sure!
