Telltale has had a tough year. A few months ago, they claimed that developmental issues caused The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 to be delayed. The studio had also changed their game engine to modernize the way people play their game and consequently drive sales up.
In September, Telltale made public that majority of the studio was closing due to unsuccessful sales. The CEO Pete Hawley claimed that “we worked to set the company on a new course. Unfortunately, we ran out of time trying to get there.”
A few days after this statement, the studio announced that other game studios showed interest in helping complete the last season of The Walking Dead. At the time, nothing was guaranteed, but now, fans feel relieved knowing that the series will get a proper ending.
