The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are Coming To Injustice 2

Here’s an announcement that seemingly came out of nowhere: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be joining the cast of Injustice 2. The turtles are joined by The Atom and Enchantress to make up the third Fighter Pack for the popular fighting game.

The news broke when Netherrealm released an announcement trailer that was shown before the grand final matches of the Injustice 2 Eleague tournament. The crowd were quite ecstatic when the turtles are announced. The only character that was already confirmed was The Atom which will be the first character released on December 12th for players with the Season Pass. For the rest of the characters, there’s no word on when they will be releasing. For now, Injustice 2 fans can look forward to playing as Hellboy which will be releasing tomorrow and concludes the second fighter pack for the game.  It will be interesting to see which turtle you get to play as because it is doubtful they are releasing four separate characters. My guess is they are one character in the sense of similar movesets but you can customize and choose the turtle you want to be.

When the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are added to the game, it will probably signal the end of the third fighter pack. In Netherrealm’s previous titles, both in the Mortal Kombat and Injustice series, there have usually had around 4-10 DLC characters. There are some faint rumors that say there might be a fourth pack but nothing concrete has been announced yet.

When I was a kid, I would play countless hours with my brother and father in games like Madden and NBA 2K. Today, whether it's a huge RPG to be explored or a small indie waiting to tell its own story, I'm ready to pick up the controller and play. For over a decade, I've watched how the videogame landscape has changed and evolved which has me excited for what is to come in the near future.
