The release date for Microsoft’s Xbox One S has been officially set for August 2nd of this year. This is only for the $399 2TB version of the console, though there will be more options available at later dates.
Microsoft have confirmed that the console will be available on the release date for those who pre-ordered. There is limited availability for the Xbox One S, though Microsoft are still taking pre-orders on their site.
Xbox One S is not available worldwide on this release date, and some territories will get the console later this year. It will be available on August 2nd in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States.
Other versions of the Xbox One S include a base bundle which comes with a 500GB hard drive and an Xbox One controller for $299 or a 1TB version for $349. Release dates for these versions are coming soon, though they will likely also be available in August.
