Last week we confirmed that Xenoblade Chronicles X will be receiving a special edition in North America. The bundle comes with a number of goodies, with the list courtesy of GameSpot, including:
- The Xenoblade Chronicles X game
- A gorgeous book of concept art with more than 100 pages, featuring select art for the very first time
- A unique USB drive modeled after the game’s “Lifehold Unit,” pre-loaded with a selection of 10 music tracks from the game’s memorable soundtrack
- A limited-edition matted 5×7 art card of a painting done for the game by illustrator Takashi Kojo
The special edition of the title has now gone up for pre-order on GameStop’s website, retailing at $89.99. It is $30 more than the standard edition of the game, but with the number of additional content players are getting, it is well worth it.
Xenoblade Chronicles X has already been released in Japan and promises to be one of Nintendo’s gems this holiday season for the Wii U, releasing on December 4 in North America. The game is directed by Tetsuya Takahashi, creator of Xenogears, the Xenosaga series, and Xenoblade Chronicles, and promises open-world exploration (although on a much grander scale than its predecessor) and a similar battle system found in the original game. The music for the game is scored by Hiroyuki Sawano, who wrote the music for the critically acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan.
Nintendo pre-orders for limited-edition items have been incredibly hard to come by, so make sure to pre-order yours here as soon as possible.
